Celebrating Jewish-American Writers

The Jewish Studies Department of Princeton University, to celebrate an exhibit at The Firestone Library and the Milberg Collection of Jewish-American Writers, hosted a remarkable international conference, on October 21-23, 2001. This site has NO relation to Princeton or the conference, other than the fact that we attended the conference and digested its offerings. Below are some of the books by authors who spoke at the conference.

The speakers included Max Apple, Melvin Jules Bukiet, E. L. Doctorow, Will Eisner, Leslie Epstein, Jules Feiffer, Rebecca Goldstein, Alan Isler, Ben Katchor, Irena Klepfisz, Tony Kushner (no-show), Daniel Mendelsohn, Alicia Ostriker, Grace Paley, Marge Piercy, Robert Pinsky, Thane Rosenbaum, Susan Sontag, Art Spiegelman, Wendy Wasserstein, C. K. Williams, and Jonathan Wilson.
